I'm Laxman Shah. I started Laxu AI in 2024 after spending too many weekends typing flashcards from textbooks I'd barely finished reading. The bottleneck wasn't studying — it was preparing to study.
Tools like Quizlet and Anki are great once you have the cards. Creating them from scratch is where students burn hours. I wanted something that could read a 50-page PDF, a lecture recording, or a photo of handwritten notes and hand back study-ready material in minutes.
Today I lead product and engineering across the iOS, Android, and web apps. Laxu AI ships in six languages — English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, and Japanese — to students around the world. Day-to-day I'm writing code, talking to users, and pushing the model quality and the UI a little further every week.
