- •β₁-selective agents (metoprolol, atenolol, bisoprolol) act mainly on the heart; non-selective ones (propranolol, nadolol) also hit β₂ in bronchi and vessels.
- •Selectivity is relative, not absolute — it falls away at higher doses, which is why cardioselective is not the same as safe in asthma.
- •Abrupt withdrawal after chronic use risks rebound tachycardia and ischaemia from receptor up-regulation. Taper over 1–2 weeks.

How do I convert a PDF to flashcards?

How large a PDF can I upload?
Up to 100 MB on the web. Scanned PDFs work as well as digital ones, because the text is read off the page, so photographed textbook chapters come out as normal cards. On iOS the app cap is 50 MB and on Android 40 MB.
How many flashcards will I get from one PDF?
Usually 20 to 40 from a chapter, depending on how dense it is. The AI targets definitions, mechanisms and relationships worth testing rather than every bold word, so a longer PDF does not simply produce more cards.
Does it work with lecture slides and long PDFs?
Yes. Slide decks, textbook chapters and study notes are the most common uploads. Because the whole file is read before any card is written, a card can draw on a definition given on page 4 and an example given on page 40.
Can I export the flashcards to Anki?
