Common questions
How do I record a lecture with Laxu AI?
Open the app on your phone or computer and tap record. When the lecture ends, Laxu AI automatically transcribes and generates flashcards, notes, and quizzes from the content.
Does it work offline?
Recording works offline. Transcription and flashcard generation happen when you're back online.
How long can I record?
Laxu AI puts no timer on the recorder itself, and audio up to about 2 hours transcribes reliably — enough for a full lecture block. Free accounts get 1 upload to try it; Pro removes the upload limit and there is no per-recording cap.
Is the transcription accurate?
Laxu AI uses Whisper, one of the most accurate speech-to-text models available. In a quiet classroom, accuracy is typically above 95%. Background noise, heavy accents, or low-quality microphones can reduce accuracy, but you can always edit the generated flashcards and notes after processing.
Can I also upload existing recordings?
Yes! If you already have lecture recordings, upload them directly. Check out our Audio to Flashcards feature.

Checked 25 August 2026. Quizlet also records lectures now — it added Audio Recording in July 2026 — so it is worth knowing where the lines are: free accounts get one recording, after that it is a Plus feature with recording length capped by tier, and the recorder does not work on mobile web (iOS, Android and desktop web only). Otter Pro caps a single conversation at 90 minutes. Laxu AI Pro has no per-recording cap and adds an AI tutor and a two-host study podcast on top of the transcript.
